At Robert Lang’s I learned how to use Pro-Tools and a wide variety of analog gear. I immediately had the opportunity to learn directly from the house engineer who was very professional and knowledgeable and helped me a great deal to learn very quickly. I was able to come to the studio often and easily get involved. I quickly advanced to the point where I was able to begin assisting on sessions at the studio. I even got the opportunity to work on sessions with some of their biggest clients when they were in need of an assistant. Including Macklemore, Portugal the Man, and others. Within a few months of working as an assistant I was able to run my own sessions and work with clients directly. The studio gave me the opportunity to work with clients that they had booked who did not have an engineer. The ability to get hands on experience and to work with and learn from professionals in the industry was extremely beneficial. I did not experience anything like this during my time in the community college program. I would highly recommend this program to hands on learners, and people who want to be able to learn at their own pace and have more significant control over what they want to learn about and work on.
When you walk through our door you are in the industry.
